Happy birthday, Miku! :’D

So today, August 31st, is Miku’s birthday/anniversary. Six whole years of her wonderful music! :heart: I wasn’t able to make anything for her last year, but I really wanted to this year and started early. This was even finished a week ahead! Go, me~! I did have some difficulties and I’m still not 100% sure about how much I like this, but it’ll do. |3; Oh, yeah! I also decided to do the new V3 version of Miku, along with trying to add all her details. There isn’t a whole lot of differences from her original design, but I really love the box art. <3 Now, to say some gushy weird things. I know that things like Vocaloids are really weird to a lot of people - I mean, singing programs? Miku's high-pitched voice doesn't really help the matter, either. Yes, Vocaloids may not have a physical form, and probably never will. But does that truly, honestly mean they all have to sound horrible? That all music made with them is just trash? If you think about it, they're really no different than any other electronic instrument, and nobody complains when the keyboards in their favourite song is made on a computer. But Miku and everyone else can do so much more than any keyboard. In my eyes, Vocaloids are possibilities. If there's an artist that can't find the vocals they need for their song, Miku allows them to create that music anyway. She sings the things everyone feels. Love, sadness, abandonment, hatred, anger, happiness. Those feelings come from the hearts of real, living people. So many times I've noticed people saying how they know how she feels in the songs, how they've gone through the same thing, how hearing the song helps them through the day. And it's more than that, too - she creates connections between people that won't end easily and wouldn't have begun without her. She inspires people to do what they enjoy. Musicians meet illustrators to create beautiful art for both eyes and ears; people make friends through the common love of her music; artists and writers can find endless possibilities for their artwork in the complete lack of restrictions Vocaloids provide. ...okay, I'm going to stop before I babble too much... so, uh... happy birthday, Miku! Please keep singing around the world six years from now, too! And to everyone else, thank you for looking and reading! HAPPY KAGEROU DAY EVERYONE. Also known as the day everyone died ♥
…for some odd reason, that doesn’t sound very happy…

I’m not actually sure about the “everyone died” part – it’s confusing – but I do know that August 15th, aka today, is the day that the events of Jin’s songs “Kagerou Days” and “Lost Time Memory” take place on. So I drew a thingy!! A thingy of Tsubomi Kido (the girl on the left) and Shuuya Kano (the boy on the right). Originally I was going to do headshots. Then I decided to do something bigger and cuter. Yeahhhh… that didn’t work… so I went back to headshots. I’m sorry. TT3TT

I actually really like how Kido turned out!! Yayyy! And I’m really glad I was able to make something in time, too. Last year I didn’t make it (though I also didn’t know about it until the actual day, I think…) so yeah. It seems like Kagerou Day drawings are usually of Hiyori and Hibiya, but when I started and finished the picture, Kido and Kano were the only ones with votes on the poll I made a few days before. Sooo. By the way, to the person that voted for Haruka and Takane… no worries, I’ll probably draw them sometime too! “Yuukei Yesterday” is so cute omg. But the end is so saaaad… ヽ(●ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ●)ﾉﾟ And is it just me or does Ayano have connections to every single character but Mary?!

Oh yeah, one more thing! ANIME COME ALREADY SO I CAN CONFIRM MY SUSPICION THAT THESE TWO ARE ADORABLE TOGETHER plzkthnxbai. I wonder if Jin’s gonna say something about it today… man, I hope so…

So after all this time, I guess I’ll finally start uploading Ai-kon stuff!

In order to add more fandom variety to my selection, I did a whole bunch of chibis in Art Rage, intending for them to be bookmarks or buttons. …but then Mom decided to surprise me and make two sets of said chibis into prints with only plain white backgrounds. O3O;; This is the first set of those chibis, and ironically, the first I drew. From left to right, they are Princess Zelda, Link, and Midna, from the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess game! :3

These were… rather… painful… to do. Look at Zelda’s skirt. Look at Midna’s head… thing. ALL THAT DETAIL. It killed me. Ask any of my immediate family members, I complained a lot ahahahaaaaaa. Even now I’m not sure if the details might not be completely correct, but they’re chibis; they’re not even supposed to be detailed! Mraaaaah! Yes, mrah. U___u

But at least they were popular. Zelda and Link both sold out on Friday, aka the first day of the con! Man, was I surprised! But Mom managed to get more printed in the city by Saturday. I’m really glad I decided to draw some Zelda stuff. xDD But thanks to everyone for looking, reading, stopping by my table and buying these!!

It feels like I’m uploading lots of Vocaloid art lately… OH WELL. TT3TT

So, um. Rin Kagamine in the outfit Suzunosuke drew her in for the cover of Hitoshizuku-P and Yama’s CD, EndlessroLL. I drew that version ’cause excitement. And prettiness. Suzunosuke’s art is just so beautiful like seriously… ;O; Rin and Len look so pure and innocent on the coverrrrrr… even if all the songs on the CD seem to be either dark or sad hmmm.

And I also took the chance to try something new… digital painting! I’ve been wondering what it’s like, so… yeah, figured I’d try it out. I like how her hair looks. Painting was interesting and kinda fun. .3. …it feels like I’m trying different techniques a lot lately… hmmmmmmmmm… oh, and I take no credit for the idea of combining the music notes into a heart. I saw that in someone’s dA avatar and thought it was adorable, that’s all. xDD;

Also – although I didn’t make this specifically for Ai-kon (I sketched it yesterday and coloured it today lol), I do have stuff from Ai-kon to upload, so you can look forward to seeing those. Thank you for looking and reading~!

Okay I’m gonna stop talking now. =3=;;

This is a fairly quick chibi of Kano Shuuya from the Kagerou Project! I had asked Sloan what I should work on next and she said something for fun. I had been talking about Kano earlier so he’s what came to mind~

He’s one of my… let’s see… 5 top favourite characters from Kagepro, along with Ene, Mary, Momo and Ayano. His song (Night Tales Decieve) is one of my 2 top songs from it, rivalled only by Ayano’s Theory of Happiness! *O* Normally, guy characters don’t make it into my list of favourite characters unless there’s not many girls in the series, but… Kano’s song is so amazing and he seems like a really interesting character!! Especially after Ayano’s song!

Adksdhfks I wish I could do more Kagepro art… I have soooooo many ideas for so many different songs, but I don’t really have the time. Maybe after Ai-kon, I can go on a Kagepro spree! 8DD Wouldn’t that be fun?! I wish I knew what was happening with the anime, though… it never got on Crunchyroll’s summer lineup list, apparently… but if Crunchyroll does not get this show, I am doomed. OTL Does anyone know anything about when it’s coming? Anything that’s not speculation/rumors?

So this will be my 39th deviation on deviantART, and if it’s 39, it must be Miku~! ;D

Originally I was intending to do a normal print of her, and started a picture for Tiara’s song, Undefined. But then Sloan pointed out that it wasn’t a very happy picture and 39 is generally a happy thing, so I decided to do a chibi because they’re generally quick and I really should be working on other stuff. At first I was upset about it because I wanted it to be a print, not a little chibi, but now I like how it came out. :3 It took less time than I expected, too. Started after lunch, finished ’round 9 PM, and that includes breaks! Wow.

This is a mix of Camellia Miku and Sakura (cherry blossom) Miku, suggested by Sloan. Because apparently I need more pink in my gallery. :P But anyway, the only changes I made to the Camellia outfit (which is so beautiful and I really really really want to cosplay it someday *O*) was the colours and switching to flowers to cherry blossoms. Also, I’m going to make my art as shiny as possible (when it’s fitting) from now on, okay? Okay. =3=

I was getting fed up of not knowing what people were talking about with X and Y, the Pokemon games coming out later this year, so I went to the official site and read all about X/Y. In doing so, I got an urge to draw the female player and some gijinkas (human versions) of Pokemon from it. :P I wanted to, so I did. Simple as that. I’m excited to see what other Fairy types they come up with! I like Sylveon. Though my fingers keep typing “Slyveon”…

It says what Pokemon and genders they are on the image (Yvette and Xavier are the player characters). Look, look! I drew two extra boys when I didn’t have to! Are you proud of me yet?! Though that Chespin is really girly lol… OTL
I think I like how Froakie, Yvette, and Sylveon turned out the most. Almost tempted to make Froakie into an actual character… I want a gijinka character too!! ;O; And I soft-shaded these, though since they’re just chibis I had to use a small brush. Meaning you can’t see the softness very well. Oops.

Pretty sure that’s it. Sorry I haven’t been uploading much lately, been distracted and busy and all that fun stuff. Hopefully I can draw more stuff for you guys soon, though.
